What You Will Do The Marketing Intern will assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies designed to increase the visibility and uptake of UNEP products and initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Supporting digital and traditional marketing campaigns Creating social media content, presentations and infographics Developing marketing materials using Canva and Adobe tools Conducting market and audience research Translating technical climate information into accessible content Supporting workshops, conferences and campaign launches Monitoring campaign performance and audience engagement Preparing marketing briefs, reports and knowledge products Collaborating with international teams on communication initiatives The internship provides hands-on experience in marketing for governments, public-sector stakeholders and global environmental programmes. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet one of the following academic requirements: Be enrolled in or have completed a Master’s degree or higher in marketing, business, digital media, economics, environmental science or a related field; or Be enrolled in or have completed the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, with demonstrated coursework or experience in digital marketing, corporate marketing or public relations. Professional work experience is not required for this internship. Desired Skills UNEP is seeking candidates with strong communication and digital marketing skills. Desirable qualifications include experience with: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Teams Canva Adobe Creative Suite CorelDRAW Social listening platforms such as Hootsuite, Meltwater or Brandwatch Candidates should also be comfortable transforming complex technical information into engaging content for diverse audiences. Language Requirements Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge of French is an advantage, as English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat.
