Hudson River Trading (HRT) is now accepting applications for its PhD Winter Internship 2027, an intensive three-week paid quantitative research program based in New York City. Designed specifically for PhD students with little or no experience in quantitative trading, the internship offers hands-on research experience, mentorship from leading quantitative researchers, and access to one of the world’s most advanced computing environments. The internship begins on 4 January 2027 and is conducted entirely in person at HRT’s New York office. Successful interns receive a weekly base salary of US$5,800, company-paid housing, meals, and additional perks. About the Internship The HRT PhD Winter Internship introduces doctoral students to quantitative research and algorithmic trading through real-world projects and expert-led learning. Participants will work independently on research problems similar to those tackled by HRT researchers while learning about diverse trading strategies, machine learning, and large-scale computational modeling. The program is ideal for students interested in mathematics, computer science, statistics, physics, machine learning, and related quantitative disciplines who want to explore careers in quantitative finance.
