Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the Career Development Fellowship, applicants must: Self-identify as being from a Black heritage background, including mixed Black heritage Be a UK national, or have completed part of their undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral education in the UK, or currently hold or previously held a postdoctoral position in the UK Hold a PhD or expect to have completed one before the fellowship begins Have less than 24 months of postdoctoral research experience Conduct research within the Royal Society’s remit of natural sciences Eligible research disciplines include: Biological sciences Biomedical sciences Chemistry Engineering Mathematics Physics Other natural science fields supported by the Royal Society Both UK-based and international applicants are encouraged to apply.
