The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs invites applications for its prestigious Carnegie Ethics Fellows Programme (2027–2028 Cohort). Programme Overview The Carnegie Ethics Fellows Programme is a two-year professional development initiative aimed at mid-career professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of ethics in global contexts. Key features include: Participation in in-person modules held three times per year Engagement with global experts and thought leaders Opportunities to explore ethical challenges across sectors Collaboration with a diverse, international cohort The programme is not a full-time job but a structured leadership and learning experience that complements participants’ professional careers. Programme Structure Fellows are required to attend six in-person modules over two years. The scheduled sessions are: February 4–6, 2027 June 10–12, 2027 October 21–23, 2027 February 3–5, 2028 June 5–10, 2028 October 19–21, 2028 Attendance is mandatory, with limited exceptions. Failure to attend may result in termination from the programme. Candidate Profile The programme seeks individuals who demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to ethical engagement in international affairs. Ideal candidates should: Be 25–35 years old (exceptions may apply in limited cases) Have growing leadership responsibilities in their careers Demonstrate a commitment to values-driven leadership Show interest in personal development and global issues Be capable of working in: Multicultural Multisectoral Multistakeholder environments Exhibit strong collaboration and teamwork skills Professionals from diverse sectors—including business, government, academia, and non-governmental organizations—are encouraged to apply. Cheek-Milby Fellowship Distinction Outstanding participants may be considered for the Cheek-Milby Fellowship, a special recognition awarded to individuals demonstrating exceptional commitment to mentoring and developing future ethical leaders.
