The role combines: Truck driving Loading and unloading shipments Forklift operation Material handling Fleet maintenance coordination The position includes both regular warehouse schedules and extended driving assignments involving overnight travel. Work Schedule The organization prefers candidates available: 5 days per week Approximately 40 hours weekly However, MCC notes flexibility may be available for ideal candidates seeking reduced hours. Key Responsibilities Truck Driving and Logistics (75%) The selected candidate will: Load, transport, and unload shipments Operate MCC tractors and trailers Maintain electronic driving logs using Motive eLog systems Pick up and deliver material resources Coordinate deliveries with freight haulers and volunteer drivers Support canning supply transportation across multiple U.S. regions Provide basic CDL training for volunteer drivers Participate in mandatory drug and alcohol testing programmes Forklift Operation and Material Handling (20%) Responsibilities also include: Operating forklifts at MCC facilities Supporting warehouse operations Handling and organizing material resources Assisting with logistics activities across different locations Fleet Maintenance Support (5%) The Truck Driver will additionally: Support tractor and trailer maintenance coordination Assist with fleet inspections and repairs Report accidents or unsafe conditions Coordinate maintenance updates with technical staff Qualifications Required Applicants must possess: High school diploma Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Minimum 3 months to 1 year of CDL driving experience Acceptable driving record Eligibility to become an MCC authorized driver Candidates should also demonstrate: Mechanical aptitude Logistics and coordination skills Ability to work independently Strong communication abilities Familiarity with electronic logging systems Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates may additionally have: Two or more years of CDL driving experience Diesel mechanic certification or related training Leadership and communication experience Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification Travel Expectations The role includes extensive travel responsibilities, including: Day trips Overnight travel Approximately 30–40 nights away annually Typical trips may include interstate routes such as: Ephrata, Pennsylvania to Newton, Kansas and return Physical Requirements The position requires candidates capable of: Lifting objects up to 50 pounds Operating heavy machinery and vehicles Working in outdoor environments Standing or sitting for extended periods Working in noisy or physically demanding conditions Salary and Benefits Salary Base Salary: US$25.63 per hour Potential Starting Rate: Up to US$28.48 per hour based on experience Benefits Package The position includes: Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision coverage 23 days paid vacation Sick leave 10 annual holidays Life insurance Long-term and short-term disability coverage Retirement plan with 7% MCC contribution after six months Location The position is based at: MCC Material Resource Center Ephrata, Pennsylvania, United States Ephrata is located near Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
